I am forever a student of life and absorb knowledge like a sponge. Assimilating through experiences and exploration.
As a graphic designer, I often see things with a "childlike" perspective. I welcome it as an opportunity to look at something with fresh eyes. To not be encumbered by conventional structures and allow possibility to flourish. It's important to speculate and dream about what is possible, what could be created and what could be improved.
I am briefly chasséing from my structured entrepreneurial life to The Pacific Crest Trail. Ready to navigate, speculate and design my future. I have cultivated a strong drive to take control of my destiny and rise up, no matter what the odds may be. I choose to face challenges as stepping-stones rather than obstacles in my path and welcome them as growth opportunities. I know this will be hard work but it's worth it. As I travel on this journey, I will be paving the way for future generations and encouraging people to pursue their true passions. I believe this mission will bring out the best in me and shape the impact I wish to have on the world.
I want to pay it forward and focus on a primary purpose greater than myself. I have chosen to fundraise for Protect Our Winters (POW) an organization dedicated to mobilizing the outdoor sports community against climate change. You can learn more about their mission and initiatives at https://protectourwinters.org/.
Through this site, I will post updates on my journey in the Trail Notes section, educate myself and others on the effects of climate change, and offer solutions on how we can all contribute to creating the world we want to live in.

If I were to describe myself in terms of archetypes I would be:
CREATIVE | EXPLORER | CHILD | SAGE
I love the study of communication and the intricacies of the human brain. I started Creative Day Design, in 2016 to offer my creative services. I've had the opportunity to serve many clients from all different industries keeping my creative mind inspired :)
ABOUT:
There are two documentaries in particular that really inspire me to take action and reinforced the notion that we really do have a choice...
Before The Flood follows Leonardo DiCaprio, who was named the United Nations Messenger of Peace at the opening of the Signature Ceremony for the Paris Agreement, as he travels around the globe to witness first hand the devastating effects of climate change and what can be done to solve the climate crisis. View his speech humbly presented to the leaders of the world. The Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation also supports projects around the world that build climate resiliency.

Through interviews with world-renowned entrepreneurs, innovators thought leaders and brave individuals living on the front lines of climate change. "It's the biggest challenge humanity has ever faced. It's also our greatest opportunity."

THE MISSION: PACIFIC CREST TRAIL
Let's create the world we want to live in!
As a passionate outdoor adventurer from Connecticut / Vermont, I will be dedicating time each year to hike the Pacific Crest Trail on a mission to raise awareness about how global warming and hyper-consumer culture are negatively effecting our lives. We as people have the power together to create positive solutions for a healthier tomorrow. The trail breeds a sense of community and admiration for our ancestors and the lands we call home.
On this journey, I will be sharing my experiences as I enjoy learning from the people and places I encounter. Follow the Trail Notes and explore with me as I hike through 25 National Forests and 7 National Parks!
No matter your politics, we all breath the same air, drink the same water, but we need to act now for current and future generations to breath healthy air and have access to safe water. I am devoting my Pacific Crest Trail adventure to benefit Protect Our Winters. My goal is to raise $1 for every mile of the trail that I hike. I am asking for your support through my fundraising page to Protect Our Winters. Your contribution big or small will be appreciated, and this trek of 2,660 miles will have purpose and meaning for all of us.
“The Pacific Crest Trail accesses and protects some of our nation’s and nature’s crown jewels. As a vehicle for introducing you to the outdoors, it is unparalleled.”
- Pacific Crest Trail Association

If you wish to contribute to the Trek:
If you already give support to other charities but would still like to contribute to my efforts on the trail, I have included a PayPal link. This will help provide food, replacements, emergencies & recovery along the way. Thank you!
THE CAUSE:
We have two homes, the Earth & Our Bodies...
As humans, we have a responsibility to speak up for the planet. The earth will not continue to sustain us if we continue to do things that are detrimental to it. Climate change is a very real factor and has already started to negatively effect our livelihoods.
Right now, the world is about 2.1 degrees F (1.2 degrees C) warmer than it was during pre-industrial times. The countries participating in the 2016 Paris Agreement announced that the world should limit the global increase in this century to 2.7 degrees F (2 degrees C) increase.
A century is a period of 100 years. We are in the 21st century 2001-2100.
So we have 82 years to turn this around! Basically our lifetimes as millennials. We need to take a stand NOW. Lead by example to teach and empower the generations behind us. More Info & Resources »
